The Environment
At Booze Box, we know that there is no Planet B; that is why we’re committed to protecting our planet to the best of our ability.
How do we do our best to be good to the environment?
- Our packaging is 100% recyclable
- We've ditched unnecessary packaging; you won't find useless and harmful plastics in our deliveries
- Many of our beers are vegan-friendly
- We utilise UK vendors when selecting our products
- We pledge that as we expand, we will endeavour to support local sustainability movements and organisations to increase our positive impact on the environment
We pride ourselves on working alongside companies that share our enthusiasm for the environment; this is how some of those breweries do their bit for the planet:
- Beavertown now run a state of the art energy recover system, supplying the mashing process with recycled energy, allowing them to decrease their thermal energy usage by 55% and their electricity usage by 40% compared to previous years.
- The Wild Beer Co. use bio-degradable packing ‘peanuts’ in their deliveries; a more environmentally-friendly alternative to polystyrene. The starch-based peanuts are soluble in water and The Wild Beer Co. recommend that you use them as a bio-degradable addition to your compost heap.
- Fourpure are deeply dedicated to sustainability, highlighting their initiatives as tackling water use, dry waste, brewing co-products, and the future! Fourpure are also involved in the Olafur Eliasson: In Real Life exhibition at the Tate Modern where they have produced a beer from sustainable produce to accompany the Menu.
- Magic Rock Brewing have announced a new range of merchandise that is sustainable, organic, and environmentally friendly, highlighting the need for us to be kinder and more considerate to our environment.
